Richfield

The Richfield meteorite has a classification of LL3.7 Genomict* Breccia and was found by a farmer in 1983 about 6 kilometres South-East of Richfield in Morton County, Kansas, USA. The farmer unearthed the 40.8kg stone as he was terracing one of his fields. It stayed with him until 1995 when a piece was sent to UCLA for analysis. It is a gorgeous meteorite that is part of the Meteorites Australia Collection. (MA.02.0005)
